Our tree and shrub care program includes eight visits throughout the year that both prevent disease/infestation and promote healthy growth. Our trained technicians will inspect your ornamental trees and shrubs and apply insect and disease control as needed, in addition to our deep root injection fertilization in the early spring and foliar fertilizer application in the fall. Your trees and shrubs represent a large investment and are an important part of your home’s value, so protect your landscape investments with Second Nature's Tree and Shrub Care Program!

Ornamental Tree & Shrub Care Program

Cycle 1: Deep Root Injection Fertilization    [+]

Essential plant micronutrients are injected directly into the root system to encourage root growth and promote plant health. This feeding will provide about 10-12 months of fertilization.

Cycle 2: Early Spring Insect and Disease Control    [+]

A foliar spray is applied to control most insects and mites, and fungal disease control is applied to prevent most fungi from being able to get established on your trees/shrubs.

Cycle 3: Spring Insect and Disease Control    [+]

A foliar spray is applied to control most insects and mites, and fungal disease control is applied to prevent most fungi from being able to get established on your trees/shrubs.

Cycle 4: Summer Foliage Protection    [+]

A foliar spray is applied for insect, mite, and disease control to prevent and stop pests from snacking on your trees and shrubs.

Cycle 5: Late Summer Foliage Protection    [+]

A foliar spray is applied for insect, mite, and disease control to prevent and stop pests from snacking on your trees and shrubs.

Cycle 6: Early Fall Foliage Protection    [+]

A foliar spray is applied for insect, mite, and disease control to prevent and stop pests from snacking on your trees and shrubs.

Cycle 7: Foliar Fertilizer Application    [+]

A foliar fertilizer is applied to the leaves/stems of your ornamental trees/shrubs. This fertilizer will provide the plants with nutrients that will promote microbes in the root system. These microbes are responsible for breaking down the nutrients in the soil to make them available for the plants to take in, so this application is important for promoting root system growth through the winter months that will continue paying off throughout the following years.

Cycle 8: Horticultural Dormant Oil Application    [+]

A horticultural oil application that targets overwintering insects and their eggs. This application will reduce the number of pests for next year since it targets their eggs, and it should only be applied during the winter months due to temperatures and the life cycles of the insects being targeted.
