Most experts agree that lawns need aerating at least once a year. Some lawns require aeration more often due to type of soil (e.g., clay mixes) and amount of traffic on the lawn. A good time to aerate is during fall or spring seeding times. Aerating your lawn can revitalize your lawn by allowing nutrients, water and air to penetrate to the roots of your turf grass.
